Babes in the Kitchen…

Sweet Dassa had an early release day yesterday.  We spent a delightful afternoon together in the kitchen.  She helped to make the evening’s meal – squash soup – participating in every step.  There was the scooping out of seeds:

♥Sweet Little Hands♥

She drizzled the olive oil (and learned the word “drizzle”), she ran the blender (with my help) and learned about purée.  She even whisked in the broth for me.  Well, the theory is that if you have children help with the food preparation, they are more likely to try the dish.  Nope.  Not here.  I try, I really do…
(Dassa missed out on some really delicious soup.)

We also made some gingerbread:

Along with some Clementines and cocoa, it made the perfect afterschool treat for Dassa and her sisters to share.  (Me too!)

*Dassa enjoyed every bite*

  3. Hello,
I just wanted to say thank you so much for your kind words. Your lovely comments and warm wishes mean so much to me.
Our little family will be fine, even though we are having a bit of a sad day missing our little babies. We still have three others to give extra love to so there is that to be thankful for.
Thank you and have a magical day..
    Love Amber
    xx
